Our client is a global leader in conveyor component manufacturing, supplying high-quality rollers, pulleys, and idlers to the mining and bulk materials handling industries. With a reputation for innovation, safety, and performance, PROK supports major operations across Australia and worldwide.

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on 5S & Improvement Coordinator to support practical improvements on the shopfloor. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys being actively involved in organising, cleaning, and improving workspaces. You will play a key role in implementing 5S activities and ensuring the workspace is efficient, safe, and visually organised.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute 5S activities: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
  • Carry out floor painting and demarcation to define work and safety zones.
  • Organise tools, label equipment, and maintain tool boards, stands, and cleaning stations.
  • Assist with machine movements during revitalisation projects (forklift licence required).
  • Support basic mechanical and fabrication tasks, including assembly and installation of notice boards, work/quality benches, and tool stands.
  • Assist in shopfloor layout planning using manual measurements and sketches.
  • Maintain basic computer records and documentation for improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Basic mechanical/fabrication skills
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a busy shopfloor environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office or similar)
  • This is a blue-collar position that requires hand on work
  • The role is for someone who is a strong implementer who is comfortable with DIY tasks
