About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our construction team. This role is suited to a detail-focused professional with strong construction knowledge, sound commercial judgement and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive estimates across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions for construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation to determine scope, materials, labour and subcontractor requirements.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotes.
- Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions and opportunities for cost savings.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain estimating records and support tender handover processes.
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, plans and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and tender documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and communication skills.
- Confident working with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
- Experience with estimating software will be highly regarded.
- Salary between $90,000 and $130,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Negotiable hours for the right candidate.
