About our Client:
We currently require a Customer Service Officer to support our Planning and Place team within the Customer Service team, to assist coverage while we recruit to the permanent role for a period of approximately 3 months . This role will be a part-time role working at the Civic Centre.
This position provides advice and services to program areas across the organisation to meet our clients strategic objectives and facilitate the development and implementation of marketing, communication, and community engagement activities.

About the Role & Responsibilities:
- Excellent customer service skills including problem-solving, dispute mediation, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Experience delivering a high level of customer service
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a calm, efficient manner during sensitive and demanding situations across a diverse range of backgrounds and culture.
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of computer packages including a high standard of typing and keyboard skills, data entry and record management
To be successful for this role, you will need the following:
- Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate good organisational skills
- A high degree of initiative expected
- Willingness to learn and share!
- Attend to customers promptly, impartially and courteously taking into account particular characteristics, needs and diversity
- Provide guidance and assistance to Call Centre and Reception Services customers.
- Ensure that information provided by the customer is accurately recorded in our clients systems and, where necessary, task as soon as possible to the relevant business area(s) for follow-up action
- Process payments, permits and complaints efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate and assist internal and external customers with the compilation and lodgement of Council’s application documentation including venue hire forms, equipment and banner bookings and permits.
