About Our Client:
Queensland Nitrates Pty Ltd (QNP), based in Moura, QLD, operates a state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing plant in Central Queensland. Our fully integrated ammonium nitrate facility produces 210,000 tonnes per year of explosive-grade ammonium nitrate, playing a crucial role in supporting the competitiveness of Queensland’s mining industry.

About the Role:
As a key member of a small maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities to support plant availability and reliability targets.

Role Summary & Accountabilities:
  • Maintenance of both low and high voltage (LV and HV) electrical systems, a broad range of instrumentation, and control system equipment
  • Perform calibration of various process control and measurement systems, including gas analysers and control valves
  • Apply and continue to develop your expertise in process control instrumentation commonly used in Petrochemical and Oil & Gas facilities
To be successful for this role you will need the following experience:
  • Queensland Electrical Licence as Electrical Fitter/Mechanic (or Australian equivalent) – Essential
  • Current “C” class manual driver’s licence – Essential
  • Dual trade qualification in Electrical and Instrumentation – Highly regarded
  • Experience in troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of instrumentation – Highly regarded
  • Experience in hazardous area maintenance within an operating plant – Desirable
  • Qualified Electrical Technicians with instrumentation knowledge and experience are also encouraged to apply
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
