As an Electrical Trade Assistant, you will support lead installers in upgrading existing solar systems with battery installations, performing AC-coupled battery setups, running cables, mounting batteries, and assisting with photovoltaic (PV) panel installations on rooftops. Your role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant installations, with a strong emphasis on workplace safety and adherence to AS3000 wiring rules.

Key Responsibilities
- Battery Installation Support: Assist with AC-coupled battery installations and upgrades to existing solar systems, including running cables and helping mount battery units securely.
- PV Installation: Support the installation of photovoltaic panels on rooftops, including handling panels, securing mounts, and ensuring proper alignment.
- Cable Management: Run, secure, and organize electrical cables in compliance with AS3000 wiring rules to ensure safe and reliable connections.
- Site Preparation: Prepare work sites by organizing tools, materials, and equipment, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to AS3000 wiring rules and all workplace safety protocols. Participate in safety briefings, wear appropriate PPE, and prioritize safety at all times.
- Documentation: Assist in completing and submitting Back of House (BOH) documentation accurately and promptly to maintain project records.
- Equipment Maintenance: Handle, clean, and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the installation team to troubleshoot issues, transport materials, and keep the worksite organized.
- Experience: Experience as a trade assistant or in a similar labor role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems, solar, or battery installations is a plus. Familiarity with AS3000 wiring rules is desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 25kg), work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
