We are seeking a reliable and experienced Fire Assayer to join our laboratory team based in Malaga, Western Australia. This is a casual position, ideal for someone looking for flexibility while working in a professional laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fire assay processes including flux preparation, fusion, cupellation, and digestion
- Accurately weigh, prepare, and analyse samples in line with QA/QC requirements
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including furnaces and balances
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and laboratory standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist with general laboratory duties as required
- Previous experience as a Fire Assayer or in a similar laboratory role
- Sound knowledge of fire assay techniques and precious metal analysis
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Good time management and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift licence and/or laboratory qualifications (highly regarded but not essential)
- Casual employment
