About Our Client 
Our client is a local government organisation committed to maintaining and improving essential community infrastructure across the metropolitan area. They are seeking experienced and reliable General Hands to join their civil maintenance team on a casual basis. 

About the Role 
This is a hands-on outdoor role working across a variety of civil maintenance projects that help keep local communities safe and accessible. You will be involved in the construction, repair and maintenance of council infrastructure, including drainage systems, concrete assets, footpaths, kerbing, road reserves and public spaces. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Assist with drainage installation, maintenance and repair works 
  • Concreting, kerbing, footpath and pathway repairs 
  • General civil labouring and maintenance activities 
  • Operation of hand and power tools 
  • Site preparation, excavation and reinstatement works 
  • Traffic and pedestrian management around work areas 
  • Loading, unloading and transport of materials and equipment 
  • Maintain a safe, clean and compliant worksite 
  • Work effectively within a team to deliver community infrastructure projects 
Required Qualifications & Experience 
  • Previous experience in civil construction, road maintenance, drainage, concreting or local government works 
  • Construction White Card 
  • Current HR Driver's Licence highly regarded 
  • Experience operating small plant and equipment advantageous 
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety 
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team 
  • National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
