We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Group Trainer – Service Crew to support underground operations by delivering high-quality training, mentoring, and competency-based assessments across service crew activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for guiding crews through the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of underground services in line with operational plans and site procedures. You will play a key part in building capability across teams, ensuring work is completed to a high standard with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding crews through the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of underground services in line with operational plans and site procedures. You will play a key part in building capability across teams, ensuring work is completed to a high standard with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training and assessments for safe, efficient underground service installation, maintenance, and repair in line with plans and safe working procedures.
- Guide crews on service installation, task sequencing, quality, and safe work practices.
- Provide practical training in ventilation, dewatering, pumping, and other infrastructure systems.
- Identify hazards and improvement opportunities, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate with supervisors to maintain accurate and compliant training materials and records.
- Support training and operational needs across NSMS sites with flexible rosters.
Skills & Experience:
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in underground service crew roles
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment - TAE40122 or equivalent (preferred, but not essential)
- Experience in safe and efficient underground service installations
- Experience with ventilation, dewatering, pumping, and infrastructure installation
- Experienced in safely hanging and removing secondary ventilation fans.
- Paste fill installation experience an advantage
- Good communication and coaching skills
