ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is a global leader in water, energy and waste management, through innovation and investment, the business in Australia has gone through a considerable growth in recent years. With the investment in innovation and emphasis on growth and development to continue, they now need a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Supervisor for busy  Queanbeyan workshop.     

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This position is for a Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic Supervisor.

While coordinating a team of mechanics in busy fast-paced workshop, your responsibilities will also see you coordinating inventory, ordering parts, ensuring timely repair and maintenance of plant and machinery in accordance with managements directives.
This is a permanent position and has the potential for additional remuneration opportunities with Shift and Breakdown allowances.  

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
  • A recognised Australian Trade Certificate in either Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic.
  • Ideally waste management industry experience however, proven experience supervising a heavy vehicle or diesel mechanic workshop.
  • A flexible can-do attitude, a team player and someone who can work safely within a team and if required unsupervised.
  • An Australian issued HR, MR or MC Driver’s license.
  • Own basic tools
