As a Heavy Vehicle Services Officer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for monitoring, assessing, and regulating heavy vehicle movements on WA’s road network. Your role will focus on ensuring transport operators comply with relevant road safety, vehicle standards, and access conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of heavy vehicle access permits and route assessments
- Engage with transport operators and the broader industry to provide guidance on regulatory requirements
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote safe and legal heavy vehicle use
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with legislation and Main Roads policies
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- A strong understanding of heavy vehicle regulations, road safety legislation, or transport operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A current WA “C” class driver’s licence
- Experience in transport compliance, heavy vehicle operations, or enforcement is highly desirable
