CoreStaff Darwin are seeking a Senior Project Manager.
  
Our Client is a government-owned corporation who transmits and distributes electricity, and provides water and sewerage services, across the Northern Territory.
  
About the Role & Responsibilities
  
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex ICT and business projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage and mentor other project managers and business analysts, fostering capability development and team cohesion.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and closure activities, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality management.
  • Develop and maintain the ICT program investment pipeline in collaboration with enterprise EPMO and strategy teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of project outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain project governance structures, including steering committees and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio and program performance against KPIs, including financial, resource, and delivery metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with internal project lifecycle methodologies and documentation standards.
  • Identify and manage change impacts across business units, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new systems or processes.
  • Provide strategic input into portfolio formation, prioritisation, and resource allocation decisions.
  
  
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in managing large-scale ICT and business projects within complex environments involving multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing project teams.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management principles, including investment planning, risk management, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in contract and vendor management to support project delivery.
  • High-level strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in Agile and iterative delivery methodologies, including guiding teams and reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and maintain focus on outcomes under pressure.
  • Excellent Time management skills.
  • 10 years relevant IT experience.
  • 5 years working in a similar role.
