Our client was founded in 1994 and over the past two decades has grown into a leading supplier of fertilisers in Eastern Australia, including Tasmania. The company has nine distribution centres on the mainland and six depots in Tasmania. 
With significant assets and experienced personnel involved in the manufacture, distribution and marketing of fertiliser products, our client has forged a solid and durable position in the Australian market.

About the Role:
Our valued client based in Hobart's northern suburbs is looking for a qualified fitter to join their dynamic maintenance crew.
The hours are Monday - Friday with some overtime opportunities and  competitive hourly rate.


Keys to success:
The successful candidates must be qualified and be able to demonstrate a track record of workplace safety. They will be diligent individuals with experience working on industrial sites who respond and work well in team environments and are able to provide thorough examples of this. This roles requires the successful candidate to be capable of interpreting and acting on high-level directions and the ability to self-motivate and work autonomously, demonstrating strong initiative and job-ownership.
 
Responsibilities include:
● To always conduct yourself in a Safe and Respectful Manner
● Interpreting and executing work orders
● Reporting and communicating on work scopes
● Working to a deadline
● Accountability of work
● Working in a team environment and contributing to developing solutions to complex problems
 
Skills & Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate - Fitter
  • Confined Space Entry an advantage
  • Working at Heights an advantage
  • First Aid an advantage
  • Pass a Fit for Work Medical and urine-based D&A test
  • Obtain Police Clearance
