Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking to join a great team.

About the Role:
Impact Fertilisers’ manufacturing facility in Tasmania produces high quality SSP that delivers critical nutrient inputs to the Australian farming industry.
The manufacturing plant based in Derwent Park is seeking qualified mechanical fitters to join their maintenance team.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm with some opportunities for overtime during shutdowns.  The hourly rate is above award and the roles are ongoing with permanent placement offered after a 3 month probation period.


Keys to success:
The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a track record of workplace safety. They will be diligent individuals with experience working on industrial sites who respond and work well in team environments and are able to provide thorough examples of this. These roles require candidates to be capable of interpreting and acting on high-level directions and the ability to self-motivate and work autonomously, demonstrating strong initiative and job-ownership.
 
Responsibilities include:
● To always conduct yourself in a Safe and Respectful Manner
● Interpreting and executing work orders
● Reporting and communicating on work scopes
● Working to a deadline
● Accountability of work
● Working in a team environment and contributing to developing solutions to complex problems
 
Skills & Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate
  • Confined Space Entry an advantage
  • Working at Heights an advantage
  • First Aid an advantage
  • Forklift licence an advantage
  • Pass a Fit for Work Medical and urine-based D&A test
