This is a Casual Parks & Recreation Labourer job with CoreStaff, supporting local government parks and recreation services in Maitland, NSW.

Job Summary

CoreStaff is looking for reliable outdoor workers to help maintain parks, gardens, sports fields, playgrounds, and other public spaces. The role is casual, with ongoing work available and potential permanent opportunities for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mowing lawns, whipper snipping, edging, and general grounds maintenance
  • Landscaping and garden maintenance
  • Maintaining parks, reserves, sports fields, and public open spaces
  • Collecting litter and keeping community areas clean
  • Operating small plant and equipment
  • Watering trees and performing basic horticultural tasks
  • Assisting with playground and recreational facility maintenance
  • Following workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures
Essential Requirements
  • Current NSW Driver Licence
  • White Card
  • Recent RMS Driving History
  • Recent Police Check
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Qualifications
  • Chainsaw, brush cutter, or chemical handling tickets
  • MR (Medium Rigid) Licence
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Horticultural qualifications or relevant experience

  • Parks and gardens maintenance
  • Horticulture
  • Civil maintenance or other outdoor labouring roles
Experience is preferred; however, we also welcome applications from motivated, reliable individuals with a positive can-do attitude who are eager to learn and build a career in outdoor maintenance.
