At our Perth Branch, we specialise in supporting the evolving needs of the construction sector with innovative and reliable Caterpillar equipment.

About the Role: 

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will join the team as a Plant Mechanic on casual (temp to perm) This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment, from the latest Caterpillar technology to legacy machines, supporting both customer fleets and their rental/used equipment.
This position operates on a rotating roster:
  • 5 days on / 2 days off – 10.5-hour shifts (including meal break)
  • 2 weeks days: 6:00am – 4:30pm
  • 1 week afternoons: 3:00pm – 1:30am
Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar equipment, including rental and used fleet
  • Conduct diagnostic testing and carry out mechanical repairs
  • Perform a variety of warranty repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Promote and maintain a high level of workplace safety
  • Support field service operations when required
Skills & Experience:
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic)
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to perform under pressure
  • Experience working on CAT equipment (highly desirable)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Flexibility to work on a range of machinery and adapt to new technology
  • Precision and attention to detail when assembling, testing, and maintaining equipment
