About our Client: 
   
Our Client, located about 970 kilometres south-east of Darwin, on one of the world's largest deposits of zinc and lead. 
  
We are currently seeking a Senior Advisor of Community & Stakeholder Engagement for an initial six-month temporary assignment, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
   
About the Role:
  • 6 months temp role, could lead to permanent opportunity. 
  • Roster - 5D/2R/4D/3R
  • 12 hour day 
  • FIFO and on-site Monday - Thursday, 5 day week Friday is in the Darwin office
  • Must be Darwin resident due to roster
  
Duties:
  • Design and deliver stakeholder and community engagement strategies that strengthen trust and reputation.
  • Lead sponsorships and high-profile events that showcase MRM’s commitment to the Territory.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, Indigenous organisations, community groups, government and industry partners.
  • Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on community engagement risks, opportunities and best practice.
  • Develop communication materials for internal and external audiences, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  • Apply advanced Excel and project planning skills to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  
To be successful for this role, you will need the following:
  • Proven experience in stakeholder and community engagement, ideally within mining, infrastructure, government or related sectors.
  • Strong capability in event management and sponsorship delivery.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and analytical skills, with advanced Excel capability.
  • The ability to navigate sensitive and complex issues with diplomacy, cultural awareness and integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Traditional Owners and Indigenous communities.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, community engagement or similar.
