CoreStaff Darwin have a temp 3 month contract opportunity available for an experienced
Senior Communications and Engagement Officer.
This position provides advice and services to program areas across the organisation to meet strategic objectives and facilitate the development and implementation of marketing, communication and community engagement activities.

This position provides advice and services to program areas across the organisation to meet strategic objectives and facilitate the development and implementation of marketing, communication and community engagement activities.
About the Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration across internal and external partners.
- Develop and implement communications, marketing and engagement strategies aligned with our clients strategic goals.
- Write, edit and provide communications advice across publications, newsletters, brochures, media releases, websites and social media.
- Coordinate advertising and promotional activities across traditional and digital media channels.
- Ensure brand and policy compliance, maintaining best-practice standards across communications, marketing and engagement.
- Manage external suppliers and consultants, including designers, developers, photographers, videographers, editors and printers.
- Manage project delivery, ensuring communications projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Measure and report on communications effectiveness, using outcomes and feedback to improve future activities.
- Support the PR and External Affairs function through research, copywriting and editing of media releases, public notices, briefing notes, speeches and other external communications.
- Contribute to a positive and safe team environment, including collaboration, meetings, performance processes, flexibility, records management and compliance with WHS requirements.
About You:
- Bachelor of Marketing, Communications or equivalent qualification or experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience
- Current NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
- Ability to obtain a National Police Records Check.
- Proven experience in communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement, ideally within a government, council or similarly complex organisation.
- Strong copywriting and editing experience across media releases, websites, social media, publications, newsletters and other corporate communications.
- Experience developing and delivering integrated communications and engagement strategies that support organisational goals and reach diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, suppliers and creative agencies, including budgets, timelines and quality outcomes.
- Experience measuring communications effectiveness and providing strategic advice, with strong collaboration, relationship management and attention to brand, policy and compliance requirements.
