CoreStaff Darwin have a permanent Full Time Opportunity in the Civil Construction Industry for a Site Manager, based in Darwin Northern Territory.

About the Role & Responsibilities:
  
The Site Manager provides leadership on all site activities in a close relationship and collaboration with the Project Managers and the construction teams. This role ensures project delivery to a high standard, on time, on budget and in compliance with all relevant legislation.
  
  • Provide leadership and supervision on sites, supervising and monitor site personnel and subcontractors
  • Ensure that work is carried out to a high standard at all times & Ensure project is meeting time and resource management.
  • Manage site resourcing and ensure projects have sufficient coverage
  • Develop and review JSA's and Risk Assessments
  • Capture all site works into a detailed site diary and communicate to the project team
  • Train, mentor, lead and motivate staff on project sites
  • Ensure toolbox meetings and other communications relevant to the project occur as required
  • Drive safety inspections and ensure construction and site safety
  • Implement quality control procedures
  • Check and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings
  • Oversee review process to ensure Subcontractor compliance e.g., having appropriate licenses, insurances etc. prior to starting works
  • Ensure warranty and dispute claims for the project are addressed as soon as practical
  • Ensure safe systems of work are implemented in minimising risk to environment and health and safety for all personnel
  • Lead site/project specific health, safety and environmental plans on site
  • Lead reviewing and reporting incidents, HSE non-conformances and near miss investigations to prevent recurrence, and participate in incident investigations when required
To be successful for this role, you will need the following:
   
  • Construction trade qualified or equivalent industry experience of 5-10 years in construction
  • Hold a current driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a police check and ability to obtain DCSI clearance
  • Experience in construction scheduling and constructability
  • Experience in managing large construction sites
  • Flexibility to work interstate as required
  • Highly organised & Commercial awareness
  • High level of problem solving and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competency in basic suite of software (e.g., Microsoft professional suite)
  • Willingness to learn new systems and drive them
  • Knowledge of construction processes, health, and safety procedures
