About the Role:
Based at Fimiston on a 4/3 roster, you will lead training and compliance for the mobile maintenance team, ensuring workforce competency, safety, and adherence to site and legislative requirements through VOCs, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for training and compliance for the underground mobile maintenance team
- Develop, implement, and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety awareness.
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor procedural systems, processes, and training in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
- Conducting verification of competency assessments for all employees to ensure skill requirements are met.
- Undertake regular inspections and task observations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.
- Underground or Surface Mining maintenance experience
- Experience in competency-based training and assessment methods
- Previous exposure to incident investigation, auditing processes and workplace inspections
- Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Workplace Health and Safety (Mining) Regulations
- Relevant Trades Certificate
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards)
- Minimum "C" class Manual unencumbered drivers' licence
