Our Bibra Lake based client is looking for a Shift Team Leader at their recycling and waste facility.
The Shift Team Leader is primarily responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient daily operation of the Plant operational areas and being a point of contact between the team and Shift Supervisor
As Shift Team Leader, you may be required to fulfil certain duties during times when the Shift Supervisor is absent.

Key Duties/Position Objectives
  • - A point of contact with communication between shift employees and the Shift Supervisor
  • - Coordinate all job tasks on shift
  • - Report any issues with the Plant
  • - Monitor the teams work performance
  • - Assist the Shift Supervisor with effective and efficient running of the plant
  • - Provide training and ongoing education to all employees
  • - Sound knowledge of Veolia safety policy requirements and procedures as they relate to the job being undertaken. Ensure that safe work practices are adhered to.
  • - Ensure all employees comply with OHS&E guidelines
  • - Maintain good working relationship with all employees
  • - Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • - Sound knowledge and understanding in troubleshooting and problem solving with previously encountered solutions or experience
  • - High level of interpersonal; and communication skills including team building and time management
  • - High level of work ethics, including motivation and enthusiasm
  • - Observe Code of Conduct for Employees
  • - Be physically fit appropriate to the physical nature of the position
  • - Ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications
  • - Must have current drivers licence in required class C
  • - Forklift Licence (current)
  • - Working @ Heights Ticket (current)
  • - Confined Space Ticket (current)
  • - EWP Ticket (current)

Hours of Work
  • - 04:30am to 14:00pm – 45 hours per week
  • - Weekend and/or public holiday shifts as required
Essential Skills/Capabilities/Personal Qualities
  • - Fixed Plant operations knowledge
  • - General knowledge of materials handling
  • - Good communication skills
  • - Good organisational and planning skills
  • - Good analytical skills
  • - Willingness to develop skill sets in all operational areas including operating a FEL and Excavator
